Want to learn how to draw a Ferrari? Whether or not you want inspiration to buy your dream car or just want to learn how to draw your most favorite car in the world, it will be great practice for your drawing skills. At first, it can be an intimidating challenge but don’t worry, we’ll guide you through it. Here’s the step-by-step guide on how to draw a Ferrari for beginners.
How to Draw a Ferrari LaFerrari | Tips for Beginners
Step 1: Start with the front area
To begin creating a Ferrari on your paper, start with the front part. Start with a slightly diagonal line starting up from the left then going down to the right a bit. You can then draw another slightly diagonal line that’s about double in length as the first one. These two lines shall make an awkward ‘V’.
Draw two parallel vertical lines near the area where the first two lines connect. That is now the front and center of the car. That’s where you’ll continue drawing the grid.
Step 2: Continue with the hood
After you’re done with the grid, you’re set up to continue on the other parts of the car. From above where the shorter line from the awkward ‘V’ is, draw a slanted triangle with the bottom part left open. Make a small mark about a couple of centimeters at the top of the slanted triangle and connect it to the point of the awkward ‘V.’ That’s your outer line for the hood.
Continue drawing the other side of the hood by sketching a slanted square. Draw the finer details using a marker with a finer point.
Step 3: Put in the wheels
From the end of the grid, draw an arc to set up where you’ll draw the wheel. From the arc, draw an oval overlapping it and shade out the upper portion. Draw two more parallel ovals inside the first oval. Connect the bottom part of the oval to the grid to give the wheel dimension.
From the bottom of the arc which you drew to set up the wheels, draw another diagonal line to set a perspective. At the end of that, draw another arc where you’ll be drawing in another wheel.

Step 4: Time to connect
After you’re done with the back wheel, you’re going to connect it to the hood. From the end of the hood, draw a line going down and then straight to the middle of the back wheel arch. Then draw a square perpendicular to the lines you just drew.
Step 5: Move on to the top part
After connecting the hood from the back wheel, you’re pretty much set up to draw the top part of the Ferrari. You can start by sketching the side mirrors by the end of the hood. Once you sketch the side mirror, you can draw connecting lines towards the back part to create the body of the car. Remember to put a mark where the doors are.
You can now draw the windshield. What comes next is the other side mirror … and then you’re done with your sketch!
Step 6: Color!
Take a look at your sketch and fill in the parts that need to be shaded. Correct errors if there are. After that, finish off your artwork with colors and be awed by the piece of art you just created!
